An Immersive Experience

Thomas J. Henry launched Austin Elevates in 2019 as a way to provide an immersive art and music experience while giving back to the local community.

In its first year, Austin Elevates brought in artistic and music talent including Alec Monopoly, G-Eazy, Da Baby, 88 Glam, Daddy Yankee, and Kygo.

To kick-off the two-day event, contemporary street artist Alec Monopoly unveiled a new mural at Parlor and Yard in downtown Austin, Texas. The mural was dedicated to the Lone Star State and presented by Thomas J. Henry. Monopoly’s work has received international recognition by leading luxury brands, art galleries and celebrities. The mural unveiling was followed by an afterparty at Summit Rooftop Lounge with a special performance by G-Eazy.

The second day of Austin Elevates centered around a large special benefit concert held at the Austin360 Amphitheatre and featuring live performances by recording artists 88 Glam, DaBaby, Daddy Yankee, and Kygo. All donated proceeds from the event supported Superhero Kids, the SAFE Alliance, and St. David’s Foundation Community Fund.

Superhero Kids

Superhero Kids provides quality of life assistance to patients and families being treated at Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center, through direct family financial assistance and psycho-social programming.

Facts about the Organization:

• 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to provide assistance to the CBCC
• Superhero Kids has no paid staff.
• Since 2009, Superhero Kids has provided over 1 million dollars to the Dell Children’s Blood and Cancer Center for programming and family financial assistance.
• Superhero Kids is a charitable fund ( Donor Advised) at the Austin Community Foundation. The fees to manage the fund are paid personally by the founders.
• Superhero Kids has provided everything from pots and pans for a refugee family who had a child with cancer, to a prosthesis for a child who had their leg amputated due to cancer. Other expenses we have paid for include: monthly rental assistance, food, clothing, bedroom furniture, exterminating, house repairs, utility bills and sadly funeral assistance among many other things.

The SAFE Alliance

The SAFE Alliance exists to stop abuse for everyone by serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault and exploitation, and domestic violence. We are dedicated to ending violence through prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for individuals, families, and communities that have been affected by abuse.
