7th Annual Thomas J. Henry Corpus Christi Bark in the Park on Saturday, October 20
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (October 8, 2018) – The 7th Annual Thomas J. Henry Bark in the Park Pet Costume Contest and Expo will be happening Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2pm-7pm at the Cole Park Amphitheater in Corpus Christi!
Bark in the Park is a family-friendly event with dozens of pet vendors, a pet adoption drive, local food trucks, a kid’s zone with inflatables and face painting, and the main event: a multi-round pet costume contest.
The Pet Costume Contest runs throughout the day, with preliminary rounds beginning at 2pm. Costume contest prizes range from $100 for all semi-finalists to $1,000 for the 1st place prize! The final round will be decided by a panel of Celebrity Guest Judges – last year’s judges included Barbi Leo from Domingo Live, CoCo from K99, and DJ Tiffany Lynn from Hot Z95!
All event proceeds, including 100% of costume contest ticket sales and vendor fees go directly to local pet rescue organizations Gulf Coast Humane Society, P.A.L.S. Animal Shelter, and Peewee’s Pet Adoption World & Sanctuary.
No pet? No worries! You can still come out and take part in the family-friendly event with games, music, prizes, local vendors, a kid’s zone, and concession provided by some of the best food trucks in Corpus christi! Gift and prizes will also be handed out to contestants and spectators throughout the day.
The event is open and free to the public.
